In my opinion this guidance is valid for all competence based assessment including QCF.

Factsheet on current assessor and verifier qualifications

New qualifications have been introduced for assessing and assuring the quality of assessment of vocational achievement.

They have been developed in the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The framework offers increased flexibility in the way vocational achievement can be assessed and demonstrated.

Published by QCA (now defunct) in 2010, this document provides guidance on the use of evidence from prior learning and experience within the new Qualification and Credit Framework.

This should be read in conjunction with your centre and awarding body RPL policy.

RPL used to be referred to as APL or APEL.
