Qualified to assess health and social care Level 2

A colleage of mine is interested in assessing health and social care (level 2)-he has an Assessors Award and his background is in NCFE distance learning courses (8 years plus experience) which included Occupational Health and Safety, Dementia Awareness, Control of Infection and Contamination, Nutrition and Health, Safe Handling of medicines, Care Skills and Drugs awareness and he has delivered training in these in care homes for many years but he does not have any NVQs in Health and Social care nor a nursing background. Would this qualify him to assess NVQ 2 Health and Social? Any advice gratefully received - thanks.

This would be a judgement

This would be a judgement for the employing assessment centre. Perhaps some work experience would be worth considering as CPD for both existing and new job.
