Hi everyone
i have just joined. i have to do reflective accounts for both these units. i tend to find these difficult. my mind goes blank. i know i need to write what i did in a particular situation but tend to find choosing what i need to write about the problem. i work with clients who have mental health needs in a low support service. they come under the Care Program Approach system where their care plans are discussed, devised and reviewed and i attend these meetings. i am also supporting a service user who has just moved from our service to his flat. i do support planning with service users. i just need some pointers on what i can write so that i can start. i know its a big ask but any help would be useful. please. i know that once i get it i can get on with it.

Have you had a look at the units? This can give you some ideas on what you need to include.
Sometimes your best bet is to write the account and get it to your assessor. They will then let you know if you have covered what you need.

i have looked at the units i do not know if it is me but at times it makes sense then not. for example 328 seems to be about the statutory care plan and then my organisations support planning process. Also in regards to the reflective account does it have to be written to cover just one situation ie with 328 if i was writing about meeting a service user to carry out a need assessment and support plan is this all i should write about.
sorry to be a bother. my assessor is not around at the present for me to get these answers

My advice would be either to wait for your assessor to return or to write a short account of how you contribute to the client's care planning. You can then use this to discuss with your assessor. I would agree with your example of the meeting with the service user - this looks like it should be just right. You do not need to cover everything in this, only what happened.
