PLTS-Health & Social Care L2/3
Hi does anyone know the GLH for the PLTS. Our awarding body is EDI and my Internal Verifier has said that the PLTS must be referenced on the learners Individual Learning Plan and mapped throughout the Diploma, ERR, Key Skills and Tech-Cert. She has also said that I need to put the GLH on there but when looking at the SASE report it does not state a number of GLH as these are embedded into the whole Diploma and assessed through the mandatory units.
I have looked at the Skills for Care and we are using the same matrixing sheets. The Internal Verifier has also asked that I reference the PLTS into the Tech-Cert which the learners do as an exam along with the ERR im really not sure what she is asking as the box on the individual learning plan is very tiny. Does anyone have an example ILP with these mapped in or know where I could look at one for guidance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As you have said already, the PLTS for Health & Social Care has been mapped to the Diploma already by Skills for Care.
If I remember correctly there is one PLTS outcome that hasn't been mapped, which you will need to evidence separately - I think it's one of the Team Working outcomes.
So long are you able to provide the matrices provided by Skills for Care I don't see the need to repeat this information. We record PLTS on the ILP as it's a required outcome but we don't reference it throughout the Diploma.
The framework doc doesn't specify GLH for PLTS or ERR. I would make a calculated guess, say 20 hours and then take this off the total GLH required as you're essentially using RPL for PLTS and ERR.

i too am a little confused by this our AB is also EDI but we were told we just had to matrix the PLTS so as above am using the skills for care one. im not sure really on where this should ideally be stored but we are placing it in the diploma portfolio. our ilp does not ask for GLH for PLTS just a statement of how this will be mapped.
