CQC rules meaning we can't observe domicillary carers

As part of my A1 award I have been allocated a candidate who is a domicillary carer. I have been asked to assess her for the "moving and handling people" unit, where the criteria state that "direct observation is required for a significant part of the unit".

Her employer have informed me that according to CQC rules, they cannot let anybody into one of their service user's homes who has not been CRB checked by themselves.

So HELP, what can I do????

thanks

Not heard of this below, after all an assessor in this situation is not providing care and is supervised. Contact your local CQC and ask them?
